It’s remarkably simple, isn’t it?
A chemical connection- a reaction of two molecules crashing in the body, creating an atomic explosion in the brain. Such, that all reasons, all focus, all cognitive operations suddenly malfunction. The system is ruptured, the breaks are off.
The body surrenders, basking in the soothing rush of dopamine and serotonin, as if every cell has found its momentary peace.
Simple, but madly effective in its impact. Having these connections woven into the fabric of daily life feels like a slice of heaven on earth.
For me, they manifest in the simplest of everyday pleasures, infusing each moment with delight. They ignite a spark within me, anchoring me firmly in the present and serving as a shield against negative thoughts, trying to slip their way into my consciousness, especially during moments of exhaustion.
But creating these connections? Ah, that’s an entirely different story, often overshadowed by the weight of mundane obligations.

And on days like today, when exhaustion seeps into every muscle and a pause from the daily grind feels like both a necessity and a long-overdue gift,
I find myself yearning desperately for my connections, my sparks… my favorites.
A day dedicated solely to relaxation, allowing myself the luxury of simply breathing. Permitting my body to dictate the rhythm of the day and granting my mind the freedom to soar among the clouds.
These tiny sparks I keep hidden for times when I need to let my body feel alive again.
